IRIS II RESIN CONTROL SYSTEMS

The I.R.I.S. II  Intelligent Radio Identification System uses RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) to remove human decision making from your No-Bake molding process. An RFID tag, located inside the pattern, informs the mixer of the identity of the pattern and automatically recalls the production details (recipes) for that mold.

Some Recipe Parameters are:

  • Amount of facing sand
  • Amount of backing sand
  • Resin percentage
  • Curing time
  • Compaction Table Force and Duration

The RFID tag also tracks the number of molds produced and tells the operator when it is time to change out the pattern.
Using an ‘RFID’ tag embedded in the pattern, all the molding parametes such as ‘fill time’, ‘resin addition’, ‘set time’, and ‘compaction frequency’ can be stored.

The I.R.I.S. II  System utilizes a color touch screen interface that allows the operator to monitor system status and authorized personnel to change system parameters.

The I.R.I.S. II  is available on any new TOM-Series Mixer or as a Retofit for an existing sand mixer.
